We present the 2025 Activity Report of the Fundació Ferrer de Música

According to the United Nations, in 2025 one in ten people worldwide was living in poverty and, in Catalonia, one in three children lived in households experiencing economic difficulties. The UN strongly warns that realities such as these will continue to worsen as a result of the climate crisis, which intensifies inequalities and deepens the social crisis. Meanwhile, wealth continues to become increasingly concentrated in fewer hands.

“This is a profoundly unjust reality that we cannot normalise or contemplate with resignation. Against this backdrop, working to promote equity and social justice is not only a matter of commitment, but an unavoidable responsibility, especially for organisations from the Global North such as ours,” explains Estefania Rico, Socialization of Wealth Director.

2025: a commitment to the socialisation of wealth

The Fundació Ferrer de Música is one of the Fundacions Ferrer, five inspiring organisations born from the strong commitment of the pharmaceutical company Ferrer, a B Corp company whose purpose is to use its business to fight for social justice. The Fundacions Ferrer contribute to the socialisation of wealth through projects that promote equal opportunities and foster creation, knowledge and critical thinking in areas such as agriculture, literature, music, education, human rights and sport.
