We are bringing more than fifteen concerts and masterclasses from the Barcelona Jazz Festival to the Conservatori Liceu
This year, the Fundació Ferrer de Música is strengthening its commitment to the training of young musicians by supporting more than fifteen concerts and educational activities from the 58th Barcelona Jazz Festival at the Conservatori Liceu.
The programme includes eleven concerts by leading jazz figures, nine of them complemented by masterclasses, as well as five concerts featuring jazz bands from the Conservatori Liceu, giving students the opportunity to perform on stage at one of the leading festivals on the music scene.
The eleven concerts scheduled at the Conservatori Liceu will bring together some of the most prominent names in today’s jazz scene:
- Kurt Rosenwinkel & The Remedy (5 November)
- Vijay Iyer (6 November)
- Miguel Zenón & Luis Perdomo (11 November)
- Mark Guiliana Beat Music (12 November)
- Niño Josele (14 November)
- Haydée Milanés & Javier Colina (16 November)
- Chris Potter Trio (17 November)
- Mary Halvorson: Canis Major (19 November)

Five additional concerts featuring jazz bands from the Conservatori Liceu will be added to the programme, with dates to be announced soon.
In addition, before the November programme begins, students will have the opportunity to take part in two exclusive sessions with leading artists. On 15 October, the Michel Camilo Trio will offer an open rehearsal for students, while on 20 October it will be the turn of Andrea Motis and Yamandu Costa, in two sessions designed to bring future professionals closer to the creative and performance processes of leading musicians.
Through this support, the Fundació Ferrer de Música continues to promote initiatives that connect artistic excellence with education, offering students direct learning experiences with leading international figures and supporting their musical and professional development in a high-level environment.
