The Selection Committee of the 4th edition of the JONDE and Ferrer-Salat Scholarships has today announced the names of the beneficiaries of a call that has strengthened its commitment to emerging talent this year by increasing the number of scholarships awarded. A total of 43 young members of the JONDE Instrumentalists Pool will receive financial support to foster their artistic development and continue advancing their professional careers.

In this edition, 35 scholarships of €8,000 gross and 8 scholarships of €2,500 gross have been awarded, with the aim of supporting new generations of musicians in their professional and creative growth. One of the distinctive features of this programme is that recipients may use the funds either for projects they are already developing or for future initiatives. For this reason, the jury paid particular attention to the impact that the scholarship could have on the artistic and educational development of each applicant.

The Selection Committee responsible for evaluating the applications was chaired by Ana Comesaña, Artistic Director of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE), and included Fabià Santcovsky, representing the Fundació Ferrer de Música; Juan Carlos Garvayo, founder of Trío Arbós and Professor of Chamber Music at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid (RCSMM); Maider Múgica, Deputy Director and Artistic Coordinator of the National Centre for the Dissemination of Music (CNDM); and Saulo Muñiz, Artistic Coordinator of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE).

The Fundació Ferrer de Música would like to congratulate all the musicians who took part in this call for the outstanding quality of their proposals. At the same time, we would like to express our gratitude to the recipients of this fourth edition for allowing us to continue fulfilling our commitment to creating opportunities and promoting social justice through music.

This programme, launched four years ago and complementary to other support initiatives promoted by the Fundació Ferrer de Música, reflects our commitment to working alongside leading and highly prestigious institutions. Through these partnerships, we help foster the exceptional talent of young musicians at a decisive stage in their education and artistic development.
