We announce the winners of the 17th edition of the Ferrer-Salat – Conservatori Liceu Scholarships
The Fundació Ferrer de Música has announced the winners of the 17th edition of the Ferrer-Salat – Conservatori Liceu Scholarships, once again reinforcing its commitment to supporting emerging musical talent. In this edition, a total of 40 scholarships have been awarded —20 Four-Year Scholarships and 20 Excellence Scholarships— aimed at supporting young musicians at key stages of their training.
The Four-Year Scholarships enable recipients to pursue the Higher Degree in Music at the Conservatori Liceu, while the Excellence Scholarships recognize the performance and trajectory of students already enrolled at the institution. Together, these grants aim to ensure equal opportunities and to make talent and dedication the main drivers of students’ artistic development.
A celebration marked by music and emotion
The announcement ceremony took place on May 7, 2026, at the Conservatori Liceu Auditorium, during an event that also featured a concert by scholarship recipients from previous editions. The ceremony became a space for recognizing the talent, effort, and dedication of the selected students.
This year’s call saw particularly strong participation, with 151 applications for the Four-Year Scholarships and 91 for the Excellence Scholarships, highlighting the growing interest in this initiative.
During the event, Sergi Ferrer-Salat, president of the Fundació Ferrer de Música and the Fundació Conservatori Liceu, addressed a few words to the scholarship recipients, highlighting their resilience, perseverance, and sacrifice, while also appealing to their social responsibility: “Be aware of how you can and should channel the infinite and transformative power of music to help create a more equitable and just world.”
