The Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de Espa\u00f1a (JONDE), which belongs to the Instituto Nacional Artes Esc\u00e9nicas y M\u00fasica (INAEM), have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the musical and artistic excellence of young Spanish musicians and composers.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This collaboration focuses on the development of the JONDE and Ferrer-Salat scholarship program<\/strong>, which aims to promote and accompany young musicians and orchestra members, providing them with the necessary financial support so that they can fully dedicate themselves to their artistic development. For this first 2023-2024 edition, 30 scholarships will be granted with an economic endowment of \u20ac8,000 each<\/strong>. The call for applications will be open from October 6th to October 27th, 2023.<\/p>

The Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation has a 41-year history and the purpose of promoting musical excellence and social transformation through music. Its early days date back to 1982 with the first edition of the Reina Sofia Prize in Music Composition<\/strong>, one of the most prestigious on the international stage.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

With the aim of disseminating this award at the national level, the agreement signed between the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de Espa\u00f1a contemplates incorporating each edition\u2019s winning work in the program of one of the JONDE\u2019s concerts and annual tours.<\/strong><\/p>

Unda Maris<\/em><\/strong>, a work by composer Javier Quislant Garc\u00eda, winner of the XL Reina Sofia Prize in Music Composition, will be the first included in the JONDE\u2019s repertoire during its tour in January 2024.<\/p>

According to Ana Comesa\u00f1a, director of the JONDE: \u201cThis collaboration opens up a new era for the orchestra, as it brings back a key and unavoidable pillar of its pedagogical project, which aims to support the development of young instrumentalists in a comprehensive way\u201d.<\/p>

In the words of Sergi Ferrer-Salat, chairman of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation: \u201cWe are committed to conveying the great transformative power of music and the need to contribute to a more equal and fairer society to these promising young artists, who were born with great talent and excel in this artistic discipline\u201d.<\/p>
